After tomorrow night, I’ll be moving back to Wednesday’s at Sophia’s. If your schedule precludes mid-week revelry, then I had better see you out this week.

Props to the guy who kept his Free Bird-requesting friend in check all night by repeatedly calling him a douche bag.

They came, drank, and ate cupcakes. A good Valentine’s for all.

No Undone next week, as I will be out of town once more, but it shall resume immediately thereafter on the 28th. See you all then!

Make that Thursdays, now.

One could say this update is about a month and a half overdue, but I thought it best to feel things out before celebrating. Now that the metaphorical votes have been counted, I feel comfortable announcing that yours truly is the* official** resident DJ of Sophia’s Thai Kitchen.

Sophia’s is known and respected throughout Northern California for its eclectic, independent musical selections in rock, folk, bluegrass, and country. This residency represents their first concerted foray into regularly-scheduled electronic music and I feel incredibly honored for the opportunity.

Aside from being my first steady gig since moving to California, it has also given me the chance to expand my collection of downtempo, trip-hop, acid jazz, and underground hip-hop. (Although this doesn’t rule out the occasional foray into some decidedly smooth deep house.)

For those of you in the Northern California area, come check me out every Wednesday night from 10p ‘til close.

** okay: so there was no press release; and I still need to get them to add me to the website

Posted the first two hours from the birthday party last night. Enjoy.

New site design! I’m also dropping the radio section and moving my favorite episodes under the new Mixes section.

When the music goes deep, I get a little lost. When I find myself again, I sometimes have a mix to show for it. Here’s to catharsis.

It’s not late for July; it’s early for August: East Meets West.

Rather than force disparate styles to play nice, I’m thinking of releasing two smaller mixes. Expect each to be 30-45 minutes each. If I shoot for bite-size mixes, I can probably start releasing them on-time.
